Elaine Toogood

Elaine is senior architect at The Concrete Centre and provides decision-makers in t he construction industry with advice and design guidance related to the use of concrete and masonry. As well as providing project advice, Elaine also contributes to Concrete Quarterly, authors technical guidance and is responsible for curating numerous events and lectures.  Elaine has nearly 20 years’ experience of working in the construction industry, principally as an architect within private practice and is a long serving member of the Lewisham Planning Authority Design Panel. She was a contributor in the DEFRA Property Flood Resilience Action Plan.
